And we are back for Day 2 of @KubeCon_ Keynotes. Follow along to see if I fall asleep today π#KCCNC
@stephenaugustus kicking it off with no tin foil hat, but many @kubernetesio project updates. I've already missed my first quotes due to moving to slow to remember them π΄
22, 38, 34, 42, 51 the number of enhancements for each of the last @kubernetesio releases. Like every good thing in tech, we are up and to the right π
@kubernetesio slowed down to 3 releases per year due to multiple world factors. That change is now intentional and official. Read more about it here. Let's make Kubernetes stable and boring github.com/kubernetes/enhβ¦
"This will be a quality of life improvement for everyone involved" - @stephenaugustus remember people always come first in open source
There is now an opt-in process for enhancements where each SIG (not to be confused with the newly renamed TAGs π) says what they are committing to, switching from a pull to a push model for the release team
The @kubernetesio community meetings are now coming back! github.com/kubernetes/comβ¦
@kubernetesio is getting rid of Docker shim and pod security policies. Don't freak out! To learn more about how these changes were communicated and how to do it better. Check out this great talk from @IanColdwater and @Dixie3Flatline sched.co/iE2N
@ccaramanolis also back without a tin foil hat. Was it all a dream? Was it a conspiracy? The world will never know

@NCBI and Pubmed π€―π€―π€―my world are now overlapping. So cool to see all the ways @Linkerd is helping overcome the COVID pandemic
@CloudNativeFdn tech helping us get through the pandemic by speeding up research, testing, and essential services
"They didn't use a service mesh because they saw it it a blog post or a talk, but because it was helping them deliver life saving services faster. It is helping real people in real ways" - @wm
"I forgot to un mute myself" - @ccaramanolis glad to know our heroes are human too
@bsnchan_ is that a @onepeloton in the background? You know that is running on Kubernetes too right?
"The maintenance of the sprawling YAML files is overwhelming. Am I just a YAML Engineer?" - @bsnchan_ Don't we all wonder that
"@KnativeProject can help us overcome these feelings"
Have to love the @deutschetelekom Pink in the keynote from @vukgojnic . Biased but my favorite keynote because telcos β€οΈcloud native
10 people running 10,000 clusters. Now that is telco scale π€―
@fluxcd, #clusterapi, and #GitOps I feel like I have heard this somewhere before π€
@OpenComputePrj @openinfradev and @CloudNativeFdn Open source requires the whole ecosystem
Bare metal Kubernetes, just waiting to see @tinkerbell_oss pop up
"We see the CNF Working Group as a driving force in the cloud native telco" check it out if you haven't already github.com/cncf/cnf-wg
"cnf vendors and operators need to allow continuous testing of cloud native network functions " - @vukgojnic

More talk about tin foil hats and @stephenaugustus goes through a costume change
That's all for today. Tune in the same time tomorrow for our final day of @kubecon_ keynotes. I can't tell if I'm happy for not having to get up so early again or sad because it will be over
