THURSDAY #COVID19Colorado update
Headline: It ain't much. But all three metrics went down today. So... I'll take it... And yeah, that includes hospitalizations
HOSPITALIZATIONS
covid+ ONLY
Today: 661 (down 5)
Last week: 628
#9news
POSITIVITY
7-day below 5.5!
(only deserves one !)
CASES
Headed in right direction
VACCINE
TWO MILLION Coloradans fully vaccinated! Woohoo!
35.1% of state (essentially) FULLY vaccinated
(Yes... I use total population... not just those eligible)
One more thing
Colorado's case counts are ELEVATED when compared to rest of US.
In fact, according to NYT we're tied for 2nd highest count in US
(h/t to @AnnaHewson1 for pointing this out)
What does it mean?
Colorado has YET to show the sustained decline the rest of the country has.
Our case counts are about a THIRD of Nov peak, but we're still elevated.
It all makes Colorado an outlier.
Our hospitalizations aren't going down much
and our cases remain high
I'm curious a to the reasons why.
But won't offer any thoughts right now
Anyhoo... take care. And let's see what tomorrow brings
