⏰ At 9.30pm we started lighting up London by projecting our key messages onto significant buildings to mark our court case against the government over dodgy PPE contracts, that kicks off next week👩⚖️
Our first stop was NHS England, Skipton House, Elephant & Castle.
Our message:
You didn’t give us safe PPE 😷

Location number 2: the headquarters of @PHE_uk.
In 2016, the government carried out a flu simulation called Exercise Cygnus. The resulting report (full of recommendations for improvements) was buried & ignored. Next time we must be better prepared. #WhatsThePlanMatt?
Stop 3 was @NHSEngland, Victoria Street.
The early months of the pandemic were chaotic. Some NHS staff were given out-of-date PPE, others had none at all. Over 880 health & social care workers have died. We stopped here because accountability & justice matter.

Location 4 were our wonderful mask suppliers @mfep_uk who lent us a wall & made us a **limited edition number** of masks especially for our court case next week displaying our #ProtectNHSworkers demand proudly.

Despite repeated warnings, our government failed to prepare for COVID-19. Then handed out contracts to companies with no business in making PPE including;
🕷️ a pest control firm
🍭a sweets manufacturer, and
💍 a jeweller in Miami

So that's how we came to be trending number 1 on Twitter on a Friday night (and taking that top spot from the footie!⚽️)
