I’ve been there X2.
IMO CPRC have little sense of what’s happening at CAC.
Since Feb 2021, none from CPRC visited this biggest & busiest CAC except on 12/5/2021.
The CAC TOR is vague.
One only feels & emphatize with the burden when one sees the insanity at CAC Stadium Melawati
Logistics were haywire.
KKM could not even provide air-conditioning to the stadium!
Imagine volunteers & drs boiling in the PPEs!
And our sick patients in the sizzling hot Stadium.
@ProfAdeeba et al sought CSR from GLCs and secured air-con within 24 hrs!
I did not wanna interfere. But suggested the following ideas:
1. Get a few senior drs to walk OUT into the long queue.
2. Interview cases & if need be do a focused physical exam.
3. If clinically diagnose Cat 1 or 2 allow home.
4. Equip them with:
a. Guidelines for Home Isolation.
b. Fix them with SELangkah or UM COSMOS home monitoring.
c. Clear instructions to seek medical assistance if condition deteriorates. m.malaysiakini.com/news/557120
5. This way you:
a. Relieve up to 80% of Cat 1 & 2 cases from entering the Stadium.
b. Do not expose them esp the kids, pregnant, young, no co-morbids to the “toxic air” inside the stadium.
6. By triaging in the open air the risk of COVID transmission is 18X less than in the closed Stadium
7. Our drs can focus on sicker Cat 3-5 cases
8. And our volunteers & Pusat Kesihatan staff can balik earlier!
