Nigerian Army launches artillery bombardments of Boko Haram fighters in Konduga LGAn Borno State.
Field Artillery troops of Operation Hadin Kai bombarded a mass gathering of Boko Haram fighters at Dawuri village in the Konduga. Intelligence report revealed the terrorists were planning to execute coordinated attacks around Maiduguri and its environ.
Nigerian Army launched massive artillery bombardment on their camps. The pre-emptive strike carried out after obtaining intelligence on the movement of the fighters and the interception of their communication by army intelligence.
That the army was able to intercept their communication and devilish plans to attack Maiduguri and its environ is commendable. This is warfare in the 5th Dimension. Their cowardly evil plot of attacking innocent defenceless civilians were thwarted by rocket artillery bombardment.
A rocket artillery is a weapon of choice in this scenario because it is capable of delivering a large mass of explosives simultaneously, increasing the shock effect and giving the target less time to take cover.
In this case Field Artillery troops bombarded the general area, giving the mass gathering of the terrorists. Giving them no hope of escape. Killing at least 40 of them instantly.
The Nigerian army employs two classes of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), the BM-21 Grad
....the more modern longer range RM-70. The RM-70 is an unforgiving weapon.
Its warhead is an airburst fragmentation warhead that explodes about 30 feet over a target area to disperse solid metal penetrating projectiles to destroy enemy soldiers, just like a grenade does.
