Lately I've been seeing A LOT of Captain America disinformation and ignorance. Whether it be from "fans" or people that simply just don't understand the character. So let me try shed some light on what the character stands for morally. #CaptainAmerica

Firstly, Cap is Anti-War. I see a lot of takes saying Steve is Pro-War. He joined the army, yes, but who wouldn't join to fight Nazis & tyrannical governments.

After WW2 Steve has tried his best to stop any war that could harm innocents, whether they're from his country or not.

Another one I've seen a lot of is: "Steve wouldn't approve of a gay Captain America".

Cap was one of the first to call out homophobia, in 1982 he can be seen calling homophobes "Pariahas". This is a big one for a lot of people, because at the time Anti-LGBTQ+ had skyrocketed.

Steve isn't anti-immigration, infact he's for it. Steve is canonically part Irish, his father's side of the family immigrating from Ireland to America before Steve was born.

Steve has referenced a few times him being Irish, so its something he wears with pride and doesn't hide.

Steve will never stop fighting for the freedom and protection of his fellow country people and the lives of everyone, even if it means going against his governments wishes.

Again, Steve will go against ANYONE to protect those that need protecting, if they ask for it or not.

"Steve only fights for himself". You wouldn't believe the amount of times I've seen this shite spread all over an MCU post.

Steve fights for everyone, he puts all above himself and risks everything. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but he always tries.

"Steve is government propaganda, used to push an agenda".

Not only does Steve fight against injustice and intolerance, but he also stands infront of the world and announces when he can.

Multiple times Steve has exposed wrongdoings and dirty deeds comited by his government and even prisons.

Steve doesn't tolerate racism of any kind. No matter the reason behind it.

Context for the last two: Steve is on his way home after helping the cleanup crews with the disaster of 9/11, so emotions are VERY high.

At any given chance Steve will encourage, lift up and inspire those around him, whether those people are heroes or just everyday people.

Lately I've seen a lot of bs in the lead up to 'TUS of CapA'. After announcing their 1st Trans Captain America people have went out on a limb to make ignorant remarks, such as: "Steve wouldn't accept this". The same Steve Rogers that cross dressed in his SECOND appearance.

I know trans & cross dressing isn't the same thing, but Steve being comfortable with cross dressing himself speaks a lot about his opinion on the LGBTQ+ community. He has no problem with any of it, at the end of the day, why would he? They're human beings, being themselves.

I could go on, but honestly I think I would get lost in it, just typing endlessly.

The disinformation will never end, but if I'm able to bring any new info to people, my work here is done. It's not bunged full of details, but enough to get people to check out more & research.

"Matt, are you not going to continue on?"
