Put on my detective hat 🔍 and tried to find every hidden detail and all the new stuff we’re getting with #TheSims Cottage Living.

Take a look in this thread for all the news and sneaky secrets as they get added in!

So many new build/buy assets in these scenes. The ponds in image one look like a pond tool as they’re added in to the lot and not part of the world.

Love that we’re getting yet another new kitchen set! Check out the kid helping to cook... that’s new gameplay! New jams/jellies!

This garden/harvest festival scene shows lots of new details.

The red planters confuse me, they have base game and new EP plants on them, will they have a slot on them to customize the plants?

Gardening club possibly returning from previous games?

🥕 man is creepy...

Curious to know how many town lots are buildable vs. shells. There seem to be reused assets (DU, Bowling) from other packs, which suggests those are shells

But also the new pub has lots of new British inspired food on the table.

Check out the Sim browsing in the shop window

Lots of new details in the blog post
- Ponds have lots of interactions
- Preorder bonuses are back, but likely won’t have any unique new exclusive gameplay (just decor/reskinned bike)
- TONS of new build assets! Windows/doors/roofs/terrain paint/fences
- New cooking/preserves?

For anyone curious... this is definitely a pond tool, not an item and not a new pool water type. Notice how it appears to be built in each of these trailer shots.

It also appears differently in the blog image, so fully customizable, swimmable and can have birds/plants/logs/etc!

So many new foods
- bangers & mash
- beef wellington
- shepherd's/cottage pie
- Jams/preserves
- Crumpets
- Yorkshire puds
- Flavoured milk

In case anyone missed this blog post:
- Pub (new lot type or just "bar")
- Grocery stall & grocery delivery (from an NPC)
- Agnes Crumplebottom is back (with sister Agatha!), running the garden booth
- Finchwick Fair run by the mayor, lots of contests

ea.com/games/the-sims…

Cows, llamas, chickens, wild birds, wild foxes & wild bunnies.

Sheds/coops are placeable items (not builds)
Animal Enthusiast trait
Appearance/products from animals change based on moods/interactions or giving items (like chocoberries for chocolate milk)

More gardening details (NOTE: not referred to as farming)
- New gardening patches that allow you to grow giant veggies/fruits
- Kids can now garden (and cook!)
- Simple Living Lot Challenge = cheaper cooking, but can only cook from inventory/foraging/gardening/animals/grocery NPC

Seems like there will be a "few more" updates/announcements before July 22nd.

There are still 2 more game updates that we're expecting... I wonder what those could be 🧐

Breaking down the trailer frame by frame now:
- Garden plots are placeable items, not terrain paint (likely reskinned 2x2 basegame planters)
- New fence/gate
- Rabbit "den" log item is a build/buy item

New build assets:
- Thatched roof texture
- Extra thatched roof details are individual pieces (including animals and end pieces), matching dormers and a chimney
- New ivy and climbing plants

- Llama/cow sheds and chicken coops are placeable items, not buildable
- New wooden fence (in the background)
- Animals appear with the buildings (not separate items)

- Pond tool is a terrain element, not placeable item
- Plants/decor are added individually
- Fishing sign = maybe able to fish in them?
- Birds appear separately... placeable decor?
- I'm OBSESSED with that new fence, I've wanted one similar since Outdoor Retreat!

- New terrain paint (mossy garden stone path)
- New archway ... could be a wedding arch, but likely just decor
- No new mailbox(?)
- Most importantly... rabbits do NOT have bums

@Iron_Cgull This is the break down of the pond tool - frame by frame you can see you can add in a fishing sign (spawner?) and birds!
