Some military hardware aquired by the Nigerian military between 2016 and 2021.

This is not a comprehensive list, just the most notable.

July 2017. Nigeria took delivery of 10 Super Mushank trainers from Pakistan. The NAF had inducted the Super Mushshak aircraft into the NAF inventory in Dec 2016 courtesy of the kind gesture of Pakistan to temporarily make 4 Super Mushshak available to the NAF, at no cost.

January 2017. The NAF starts taking delivery of AW109M "Power" attack helicopters from Italy. Six helicopters were ordered and delivered in batches.

February 2017. The NAF took delivery of the first batch of six Mi-171Sh/Mi-171E advanced, multi-purpose helicopters (the export version of the Mi-8AMTSh) helicopters from Russia.

April 2018. The NAF took delivery of the second batch of Mi-35M attack helicopters from Russia. The helicopter gunships were delivered aboard an Antonov transport aircraft.

The helicopters were partially disassembled, with their main and tail rotors removed for transit.

June 2017. Nigeria took delivery of the first batch of 25 Typhoon and Spartan MRAPS from Streit Group. A total of 177 ordered for the Nigerian army.

May 2021. The Nigerian Air Force formerly inducts the JF-17 "Thunder" multi-role fighter into service as the new frontline aviation of the Nigerian Air Force.

April 2020. The Nigerian army took delivery of the first batch of VT-4 Main Battle Tanks. A highly automated 3rd generation battle tank from Norincho.

STI Tank Destroyers / firw support amoured fighting vehicles.

Wheeled long range SH-105mm self propelled artillery/howitzer.

15 April, 2021. The Nigerian Navy took delivery of its first-ever purpose-built Offshore Survey Vessel, NNS LANA

June 2021. The Nigerian Navy takes delivery of an LST vessel
