Friday night Tweetstorm, here we go!

This week, I'm watching a legendary(?) VHS.

Let's dig in!

Well, this looks promising!

In case you were wondering.

I might also assume this title has something to do with Glockstore, located in this complex.

I've watched a LOT of VHS in my day, but I never remember seeing on with music under the FBI warning card.

Aww yiss

😈🤘♈🦹

"We're here to shed some light on a dark, dark area...that is also protected by the United States Constitution...that's why it's difficult for us as law enforcement officers to really investigate...."

Could it also be, perhaps, Gordon, that your own biases are getting in the way of your objectivity regarding what is and is not criminal behavior?

He goes on about how "normal" is presented as "abnormal" and how this is a threat to our communities and our country.

"We *know* what the Satanic cult professes to believe. We know what their propensity for violence might be...However, unless we catch them *actually breaking the law*...we have no case.

In other words, this video is *AT BEST* rumors and heresay. Let's have fun!

"There are deeper reasons that go beyond the lust for power and the unlimited drugs and deviant sexual behavior that go with it."

Maybe I want to go undercover in one of these organizations. You know, to uh, gather evidence.

Also, for the record, this whole opening thesis is being played over repeated stills of various imagery from Norse, Japanese, Mezoamerican, and even Judeo-christian traditional artwork.

Anything that looks "abnormal", I suppose.

"Men are apprehensive for the sake of their wives and daughters. Women are apprehensive for the sake of their children."

Also, they're starting to dip into a little BDSM kink shaming, declaring it Satanic "abnormal sexology"

I'm still trying to figure out what the whole "Satanic" angle has to do with prosecuting a crime.

It's apparently imperative for an LEO to identify Satanic behavior and prosecute it appropriately?

I think we found who Donald Trump took public speaking lessons from.

Pagans, Satanists, Occultists, homosexuals, they're all the same.

"This is a pentacle. But it's not a Satanic one because it's pointing up."

White, red, and black are the predominant colors of the Satanic movement.

Just look at all these Satanic flags in my emoji keyboard!

"These aren't witches. These are DEFINITELY Satanists"

For some reason, the editor kept going back to this graphic. Ostensibly, it's a map of the park where they shot the interview, but there's no changes. They don't indicate position or anything! It's like they just didn't have anything else to break the takes with.

Seems like Anton LaVey was onto something there 🤔

"Behind me is the city of San Francisco. A city best known as the site of the first Satanic church in America."

I'm sure other attractions like the Golden Gate, Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, and cable cars just slipped his mind! 🤦‍♂️

The basic tenets of the Church of Satan?

Well, this all seems like just a few little silly...WAIT WHAT?!?!?

"Now remember: ALL Satanic people do NOT commit crimes."

It's a little early for that kind of plot twist, Gordy.

"These may or may not be Satanic rituals, but they're important to note in your reporting... follow-up investigations might indicate a deeper need to look into the dark side of your community."

This is just me talking, but I'd say that if you're a cop and you *don't* report black market baby selling, you probably shouldn't be a cop.

Satanism in the UK

That new Metallica track is a banger!

The next section of the video goes on to list signs of child sexual abuse as possible Satanic ritual activity AS IF THE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IS THE LESSER PROBLEM HERE

"Talk to these kids and find out what's going on in their lives that might be troubling them. Don't ignore them."

THAT'S THE FIRST LUCID THING YOU'VE SAID ALL DAY, GORD!!!

LOTS of sex on the Satanic calendar.

The next 15 minutes goes into minute detail on the SFPD investigation of the Clifford St. Joseph/John Doe 60 murder case.

If your daughter comes home with these Sharpie marks, ask her about her Satanic practices.

In summary, there's a lot of information for the beat cop about how to identify possible abuse victims, but the video focuses so much on the possible Satanic aspects that it kinda forgets that a crime has been committed regardless of perceived motive.

It's almost as if the point is that crimes are the literal work of the Devil and that people who commit those crimes are doing so in the name of Satan.

I was hoping for more "Dungeons and Dragons is evil" Satanic Panic nonsense, but I got a confused, rambling essay about supposed Satanist, witchcraft, and Voodoo symbology with no real point and an unnecessarily long play-by-play of the Clifford St. Joseph case.

Watch the first 20 minutes or so, and you'll have the gist. Anything past that and you'll start to hate yourself.
