Thank goodness San Francisco isn’t getting in the way of anybody’s happiness

In 2020, nearly 90,000 people in the U.S. died from drug overdoses or poisonings. In 2000, 17,000 did.

By contrast, just 308 people in the U.S. died from natural disasters, down from 413 in 2019.
