So Pitt's India act, let's discuss about it

As the EIC logo is there, so this act came during the reign of EIC

It was named after B̵r̵a̵d̵ William Pitt, the then British PM.

1. It distinguished between the commercial and political functions of the Company

Corporate king Mallya got separated from the MP Mallya in short

2. It allowed the Court of Directors to manage the commercial affairs

So a COURT of DIRECTORS for commercial affairs 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲

3. This act created a new body called Board of Control f̵o̵r̵ ̵C̵r̵i̵c̵k̵e̵t̵ ̵i̵n̵ ̵I̵n̵d̵i̵a̵ to manage the political affairs.

So BCCI denotes Board of Control and Parliament signifies Political affairs in the pic

Hence it started a system of 𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

4. This act the Board of Control f̵o̵r̵ ̵C̵r̵i̵c̵k̵e̵t̵ ̵i̵n̵ ̵I̵n̵d̵i̵a̵ to supervise and direct all operations of the civil or military or revenue collection functions of the 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in India

the Company’s territories in India were for the first time called the ‘𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚’
The British Government was given the supreme control over Company’s affairs and its administration in India.

So British Govt > EIC, after this act.
