At Protea Glen people have broken down this gate to access the butchery which also sells groceries. Among the looters are young kids

I have seen several people emerging from the store with this. People are coming with trolleys to put in groceries @City_Press

Some people are loading their bakkies,dustbin and cars to load the groceries.

The cops have left. They were probably here for 10 minutes. The looting continues. The crowd has now broken into the Cashbuild.

Looting has started in Protea Glen mall. I've just saw young men walking around with crates of alcohol from the Pick n Pay liquor at the mall.

It's free for all at Protea Glen mall. People are loading furniture in their bakkies. Clothing shops are literally empty. Pick n Pay liquor is empty. They are now breaking into the Liquor City

I've noticed that a lot of people are looting baby diapers. I've just seen a guy walking out of Clicks with 5 or 6 packs of Pampers

I've just been inside the one side of the mall. ALL these shops are EMPTY: Foschin, Mr Price , Truworths, Identity, Markham, Exact, Ackermans, Legit,Fashion World, Studio 88, an optometrist shop, Vodacom, a salon, Sheet Street

Pep home, Rage, Jet, Street gym (they sell sneakers), Pep cell, Lewis (what's left is what they can't carry out). ALL these shops are empty

People are still looting the Pick n Pay liquor, Shoprite. I saw some guys fiddling with a Nedbank ATM. The Pick n Pay has not been looted. There is a lone security guard with a gun at the door of the Pick n Pay

Bakkies, small trucks, quantums and small cars are full with clothes, groceries, alcohol, meat and anything you can think of. Others are packed outside the mall.

The looters are now targeting ATMs. I've witnessed them trying to break open a Standard Bank, Absa and Capitec ATMs.
