Orthodox Jewish women (even the ultra-Orthodox like myself) have a richer life and more opportunities than you’d think.

A pictorial thread 🧵

We get degrees.

We adore our kids

We lecture and join panels

We learn music (and art and dance)

We get vaccinated!

We celebrate age-old holidays and rituals

And more rituals

We go on way too many date nights

We cook and bake - too much

Sometimes our work is deemed important enough for the big screen - AND the small screen

We save lives

and save lives

We travel

Sometimes we’re loud enough and get asked to parties (even if we don’t love the pol) and invited to D.C.

We (also) love shoe shopping

We lead complex, multi-layered lives that honor our values, traditions, and our unique ways of glorifying and sanctifying Gods name.

And every Rosh Hashana I choose to continue to live my life thus, reinstating Hashem as my king.
