Walmart is top employer in an incredible 22 states. In total, the company employs 1.5 million Americans. Disney total number of employees in 2020 was 203,000.
As part of its push for vaccination, the company is offering employees the chance to get vaccinated while on the clock and up to three days paid leave for any reaction to the shot.
While Walmart is not mandating that its store employees get vaccinated, it will soon implement a new process to verify their vaccine status, and is strongly encouraging workers to get vaccinated.
Opinion
**I expect Walmart mandates this for all employees by the end of December. I do not expect anything rolled out for corporate stays there. They will push this policy company wide. I suspect many will fall through the cracks as local management prefers having employees.**
