Ok a bit more on the Alberta Unity Project event. Chris Scott from the Whistle Stop Cafe kicks off his speech with some unintentional comedy gold. Someone at this event to plan making Alberta into a sovereign country yells “You’re a patriot.”

Scott explains he stayed open despite covid restrictions to save his restaurant & because he didn’t see people “dying in the streets.” He says he got so much support his restaurant fed 3000 people.

Scott talks about going to jail and this crowd of people who probably say they “back the blue” absolutely loves it. He says he got pushback because “you can’t please everybody” and someone shouts “amen.”

You gotta admit, convincing a bunch of people to send you enough money to buy your own business despite just getting out of jail is a helluva successful grift.

“Covid isn’t over because it hasn’t been beaten in court.” - Chris Scott Also forest fire evacuations are tyranny because climate change is also just the flu or something.

Scott asks if there are any pilots in the room and a child laughs. Then he uses a perfect metaphor but not for the reasons he thinks. He says Canada is like an airplane in a flat spin and about to crash. To get out of it? “We have to follow the procedures.”

By “we need to follow the procedures,” Scott means he is going to start a nonprofit to support antivaxxers. Response? A standing ovation.

We don’t need no stinkin motor vehicles act! Also he is going to need hundreds of thousands of legal donations for another decade.

He couldn’t do all this without Rebel News and all of your generous donations to his for-profit business. Finally, he ends where he began: not knowing what to say. Damn gerbils.
