I didn't post anything about it on August 30, but KJJ had Chris Saccoccia and Pat King on his "show". I won't get into the Saccoccia bit so I will recommend @EdmontonAgainst's excellent thread, however I do want to touch on a few things myself. 1/25

Of course, as @EdmontonAgainst noted, King and KJJ decided to dispense with the dog whistling and simply jump head first into the racist replacement theory. 2/25

And while KJJ agrees, grifters gotta grift. 3/25

It seems apropos to include this recent news article about Johnston. 4/25

This is of course standard KJJ and King, but I think what might have been most disturbing was the display of toxic masculinity exhibited throughout the show. 5/25

None of this is new, but what was disturbing was the rage. Like many who might hold fascistic views, KJJ and King long for a mythical time when a man could simply beat someone into silence.

For example here they are waxing nostalgic about assaulting teachers. 6/25

If I were a psychologist this part would be very interesting. In a rant about why bullying is good, Pat suggests he was bullied himself due to his poverty as a youth. 7/25

In short, bullying taught Pat to be a bully.

Johnston agrees with King and includes his own story of being bullied where he, no word of a lie, claims it taught him compassion.

I mean... what? 8/25

You probably heard KJJ attacking lawyers whose manhood he questions. The lawyers in question are likely the ones working for @mohamadfakih8 and related to this recent ruling. 9/25

cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

Also, and I could be wrong, but I'm not entirely certain that brawling in downtown Calgary would be considered lawful even if both sides agree as Pat seems to think. 10/25

When called out on his hypocrisy, Johnston excuses his name calling because "he is making a point."

Bullies are going to bully, eh? 11/25

In another part, King blames the Jews for their own persecution during WWII as well as making an implicit threat concerning law enforcement's ability to control them. 12/25

He later made a similar threat in his Instagram profile. 13/25

You know, I've never heard of someone with as high an opinion of himself as KJJ. It is so ridiculously over the top that an uninitiated viewer would think it a parody. 14/25

As an English teacher I will assure readers that the best way to increase one's vocabulary is not to read the dictionary. Read challenging fiction, try to understand words used in context, and if need be look up words you don't understand. Far less tedious. 15/25

Stefanos chimes in. He too wants to throw hands it seems because... reasons I guess? 16/25

"Everything I don't agree with is communist!" 17/25

Here we hear some concerning claims once again. In addition to engaging in sovereign citizen woo, King threatens to send people to harass schools providing vaccinations to their students. 18/25

We've already seen this concerning trend in Canada... 19/25

... as well as the United States. 20/25

Schools become an extended target for KJJ, King, and Stefanos who makes some wild claims about vaccinations.

Also, Stefanos is incorrect about the uninhibited ability of people to go into schools whenever they wish. That is not law. 21/25

And hey, why not use the opportunity to throw in a bit of homophobia and transphobia as well while we are at it? 22/25

King goes off the rails in attacking his ex-wife for having their sons vaccinated while also telling a woman criticizing him to kill herself. 23/25

Finally, Johnston claims he can "own the libs" by leaving the democracy of Canada (flaws and all) which they seem to believe is a tyranny by... reading my notes... moving to an ACTUAL brutal dictatorships in Burma.

Sure showed us. 🤷24/25

If this thread does anything it might be to show how toxic masculinity and a perceived loss of white male privilege really fuels much of this movement. 25/25
