Hey-o! Time really does fly when you’re having fun! Today is 6 mos since I came to live with Mom, Dad & sibs so this is my 6 month-iversary thread. To recap here's my 3 mo thread:

So that was June 6. I still wasn’t fully in gen pop then. The next day we had a birthday party for Indy & @MJtheBrownCat, and I was at the party! Well, sort of anyway. It was fun!🎉

Also in June, since I had FINALLY sort of learned how to jump, I tried the cat shelves! I continued #beercat duties, and hung with my sibs during the day. Continued progress!🌞

But I was still in the bathroom at night. I know Mom was trying to protect me. But it was stressing me out. And the stress caused bladder inflammation & a trip to the ER and another to my vet. #sumbitch

It all turned out okay!🌞 No crystals, no infection, no blockage, just inflammation & pain from stress. But I still had to be separate so Mom could monitor my litterbox habits. Embarrassing!

Life carried on...I was in the #JuneHamsness Final Four. I learned to fist bump with Dad. I had my first brushing. We had treat parties and I was REALLY there, not just sort of.

I was still in the bathroom at night, but my sibs and I got along better every day. Dad told Mom it was time, and that I was sad alone at night. Mom finally gave in, but slept with us for a few days.

One day in July Dad pulled out this big black box with a big old schnoz attached to it & had me pose. Weird. And more life...sleeping; hanging with sibs; ANOTHER great birthday party, for Gina & Gregg.🎉

Mom had this crazy idea to try & get me on the cover of the @WiscHumane calendar. Turns out Dad’s big black box was a camera. Wild. Anyway THANKS TO ALL OF YOU I really WILL be on the cover & WHS will be able to help LOTS of animals!❤️

And that, folks, is the story of how Frankie got his floof back! Mom wants to tell you it STILL hasn’t been easy. But she didn’t cry as much. There were spats with sibs, and the urinary thing. And she says she’d do it all over again.
