Join us for the 2nd Polish Zebrafish Society Virtual meeting on 15 Sept, 9–14.15 (Polish time). The meeting will be in English, FREE and open to everyone. If you're interested to join the meeting, email us zebrafish.pl@gmail.com. Program: zebrafish.org.pl/2PZSVM.html @ZebrafishRock

We are happy to announce that we will be hosting two noble guests Stefan Schulte-Merker and Máté Varga (@mvargam). Selected presentations include talks by @FilipKJaniak and others (not in twitter).

The meeting will start in 2 hours. Here is the zoom link us02web.zoom.us/j/81340882995?…

To start with, we had @SNeuhauss Vice-chair of @eu_fish board. The 2023 International zebrafish meeting will be in #Krakow 🇵🇱

We next had @mvargam modeling human diseases #dyskerin-deficiency and #bloom syndrome in zebrafish.

@FilipKJaniak lights up the fish and our brains. For microscopy experts, do check out his @github resources if interested.

Katerina Makarova is testing various spin probes to study oxidative stress and she will be happy to collaborate if you're interested in free radicals. I am not sharing data as they are not published yet. Reach out to her in @ResearchGate

Karolina Naumowicz gave us primers for histopathology in zebrafish. Contact her if you are novice in fish histopathology and need advice.

Vladimir Korzh spoke on zebrafish models of #epilepsy and ear development. He has PhD positions. @ZebrafishRock

Mateusz Dawidziuk spoke about zebrafish model of #microcephaly

@SavaniAnbalagan spoke about axonal morphogenesis in zebrafish.

Miriam Mojzesz spoke about modeling viral injections in zebrafish

Monika Maciąg presented her results on doxorubicin toxicity effects in zebrafish heart. It was partly funded our society travel grants.

Graduate student Patrycja Jesionkowska presented her results on toxic effects of banned insecticide #endosulfan in zebrafish. She wants to do a PhD in near future.

Finally, the last speaker Anna Sarosiak presented her unpublished results on role of tbc1d24 in hearing loss using zebrafish. Her confocal images of stainings are an art.

Thanks a lot for all the speakers and participants.

Unfortunately, Stefan Schulte-Merker was not able to attend the Meeting. Stephan Neuhauss gave the introductory @eu_fish talk instead.
