Let's start off with assessing the gaps and challenges in standards ‼️

The key areas where advances need to be made are: fluorescence measurements, RNA and cell number counts.🧫

Galaxy SynBioCAD provides a suite of interoperable and standardized tools for designing pathways from the design specification (choice of the compound, strain) to the DNA parts to be assembled.

Metadata standards are important to understand the experimental data that is produced, and this comes back to the key underpinning question: data comparability and interoperability. 💻

The solution? To define minimum information standards for the most important workstreams.

Principles of Minimum Information Standards:

1) Minimize information and maximize data comparability and reproducibility

2) Be structured and use existing ontologies that are compatible with other databases and formats
