Public health Ontario has published a report on Covid vaccine-induced myocarditis (adverse events, AE). It further confirms that:
1)this AE is not “vanishingly rare”
2)Pfizer’s induced AE highest in boys 12-17
3)Moderna – in men 18-24
2/8
Same as in Israel and US: adolescents/young adult males are at higher risk than females, 2nd dose is worse than 1st.
Frequency after 2nd dose in 12-17y.o. males are 62/million (Pfizer). No data for this age group for Moderna, but in 18-24y.o. it is 263/million.
3/8
263 cases per million doses = 1 myo/pericarditis in every 3800 vaccinated. Moderna’s Spikevax contains 100mg modified RNA/dose. @RWMaloneMD warned us it’s TOO MUCH.
MHRA approved Spikevax from 12y.o. Govt ordered 17millions doses, it is currently offered to those over 18.
4/8
Spikevax’s package insert lists AE according to the agreed frequency convention. One in every 3800 is “Rare”. Not “vanishingly” or “extremely” or any other marketing BS.
I have a 20y.o. son. Will his friends be told about this AE before they get their 2nd dose of Moderna?
5/8
Children 12-17 are offered one dose of Pfizer-BioNTech (62 cases of myocarditis/million boys, 2.8/million in girls). Much lower than Israel’s earlier reports, but higher than the 3-17 cases per million rate which prompted JCVI’s decision NOT to recommend this vaccine.
6/8
Now, let’s talk “mildness”.
60% of the “first dose” cases resulted in hospitalisation, 3.2% -- in ICU admission. It is not clear how this type of myocarditis will progress long-term because these cases have a new causative agent. Yes, I’ve done my own research on Facebook.
7/8
Final remark: above stats is based on 204 cases that mainly occurred in June and July 2021. About 30% 12-29 y.o. received their second dose in August so the total number of Covid vaccine-induced myocarditis is likely to increase.
