🧵 Given the multitude of corroborating testimonies and widespread consensus of what is condemnable in BBC’s patterned dismissal of abuse, the repeatability and reproducibility of our findings are beyond dispute.
More and more are catching wind of this orchard’s rotting fruit.
As this relates to my last thread, I was emboldened by the many similarities between what you identified as manipulative and what I had already pointed out in my response (sent days before).
So, thank you to all who weighed in with encouragements and analyses of what was wrong.
That said, I would like to share the email I sent back, detailing my objections to his misguided advance.
I recognize that it may not be of interest to many, but if it can encourage just one more person like myself to express their righteous anger, I will consider it worthwhile.
After debating whether or not to respond at all, then committing and expressing my zeal, I found it to be a profoundly grounding act. It made me realize how often I have silenced my own voice before even giving others the option to listen.
Thanks to a couple scheduling mishaps, I apparently HAD TIME that day, so you’ll have to pardon my inner Elizabeth Bennet coming out at points. My mom and three sisters had a lot of control over the remote, so I grew up on the long-winded BBC cut (isn’t that a beautiful irony?).
Anything in italics is a quote from the email I’m responding to, which you can read here, if you haven’t already:
Anyway, #LeaveLOUD mydoods.
And if you have your own story to tell, then TELL IT.

Again, I know that’s extremely long and likely not of interest to most, but if it encourages anyone else out there to speak truth to power (no matter at what level), then it’s worth the concerned and the disgruntled texts my previous threads have caused me.
I shouldn't neglect to mention - also the very kind, encouraging, and strengthening texts I've received. Thank you to those brothers and sisters ❤️
