Admittedly, July had more stuff than June. Alot of material to cover & all. We will be happy to reveal them all in the #WxWrapUp for July 2021. (🧵 of 10; (1/10)

#Tropics: Elsa may have brought the memes, but the impacts were no laughing matter. Elsa nearly caused $1B in damages & effects were felt from Barbados to Greenland where it snowed. Elsa is the earliest "E" storm on record. (2/10)

The EPac had the furious Felicia which brought us a treat of an amazing annular structure. It was a very small tropical cyclone with the CDO extending out ~80mi in diameter. You can put Felicia in the eye of Typhoon In-fa because it was that small, and speaking of which... (3/10)

The WPac had 2 damaging storms, In-fa & Cempaka. Cempaka casued serious flooding to Hong Kong & southern China while, In-fa did the worst. It stalled over the Okinawa region & causing life threatening flooding to eastern China. So far, In-fa's damage total reached $1B. (4/10)

#Severewx: July had its fair share of events. A few tornadoes spawned from Elsa. 17 tornadoes were confirmed from that. We also had a few tornadoes in Iowa including an EF3 in Lake City. A last minute 10% TOR risk was introduced there. 23 tornadoes occurred in IA that day. (5/10)

Also we had multiple intense tornadoes in China. A total of 14+ tornadoes were reported throughout the country. Also, an EF2 slammed into Barrie, ON sustaining major damages to residential neighborhoods. More tornadoes formed throughout Canada. (6/10)

During the last few days of July, a major outbreak took place in the Mid-Atlantic, mainly in PA & NJ. A large & destructive EF3 hit Bensalem causing injuries & massive damages. A rare PDS Tornado Warning had been issued for the region. It's PA's 1st EF3+ since 2003. (7/10)

OtherWx: Extreme flood occurred in Central Europe in Belgium & Germany. This led to a mass causality event killing 242. A cutoff low stalled across the region dumping hundreds of millimeters of rain. It's Germany's worst flooding since 1962. (8/10)

It didn't stop in Europe as Henan, China got rocked by disastrous flooding too. A total of 302 were killed with 50 still missing. Around $12.7B USD of damages were caused by said flooding. Typhoon In-fa was indirectly responsible along with a subtropical upper-lvl ridge. (9/10)

On the topic of #firewx, the fire season in the West USA is just unbearable. The town of Greenville, CA lies in ruins. This season has became the largest wildfire season on record & adding extreme droughts & oppressive heat waves brought more salt to the wound. (10/10)
