Goldman Sachs funds Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), specifically People's Forum whose two co-executive officers are PSL members Claudia de la Cruz + Manolo De Los Santos.

PSL member Manolo De Los Santos may also be getting Goldman Sachs money through The Tricontinetal (EIN #82-2882135) which got over $12 million from the investment bank in a single year which constituted over 90% of their revenue.

Both the IRS and Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund say that the fund is in legal control of the money after donor(s) part with it. GSPF must approve of the recipients, so GSPF approved the People's Forum.

Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund sends a letter identifying the original donor to the recipient unless they request anonymity, so maybe People's Forum doesn't know. Nonetheless, they got a fat check with GS's name on it + cashed it.

Can anyone open a Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund account? Yes, anyone with $25,000 can open an account and start funneling millions to genocide-denying pro-union-busting tankie front groups like People's Forum and Codepink.

This cope about People's Forum barely surviving and/or struggling to keep the lights on becomes even funnier when you look at their 2019 990 and find that they made over $100,000 in revenue from the cafe and $134,000 from "investment income."
projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

How is it that People's Forum started in 2017 with PSL member Manolo De Los Santos as executive director and the same year they were founded got $2.5 million via Goldman Sachs Philanthropy fund?

projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…
projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

People's Forum's revenue jumped from $3,975,858 in 2017 (the year they were founded!) to $4,437,168 in 2018 to $15,320,016 in 2019 with 2 PSL members in executive positions (keep in mind that PSL has less than 1,000 members nationally).

Weird, right?
projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

You're wrong: PSL member Manolo De Los Santos and People's Forum executive director was paid $63,000 in 2018. The 990s show that they rotate paying positions between board members depending on the year.

In 2017 (the year it was founded), People's Forum spent $530,000 on a construction contractor. That fancy hipster storefront/cafe in the Garment District wasn't going to build itself you know.

projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/dis…

In 2018, People's Forum spent roughly $3.5 million on contractors for "leasehold improvements."

projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

In 2019, People's Forum spent over $100,000 on an accountant. Did they hire a firm just to cash that year's $12 million Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund check?

projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

People's Forum shelled out $577 in 2017, $368,054 in 2018, and over $1 million in 2019 to non-board members (Friends? Family? Who knows!). #ThePeoplesCorruption

People's Forum spent $526,953 in 2017, $922,091 in 2018, and over $1 million in 2019 on "occupancy" because Manhattan's Garment District is the only place to rent space for events in New York City, clearly.

Really thought there wasn't going be anything left to say about the People's Forum Inc.'s finances but it turns out they got $150,000–$350,000 in federal loans under the Paycheck Protection Act.

Is it a coincidence that Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund laundered over $12 million both to People's Forum and Vijay Prashad's think tank Tricontinental in 2019? If so, how come they have the same lawyer?

archive.is/i9QY8
archive.is/cg2cZ/

Another "coincidence"? People's Forum and Tricontinental were the only 2 U.S. groups that received money from something called the United Community Fund (UCF) in 2018, over $3 million and $700,00, respectively.

archive.is/fyTBY
apps.irs.gov/pub/epostcard/…

United Community Fund formed in fall of 2018 and on its first 990 in 2019 it reported $39 million in revenue. Just under $4 million went to People's Forum and Tricontinental, everything else went abroad in mysterious wire transfers.

projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…

The director of the Justice and Education Fund (JEF) is PSL member Manolo De Los Santos. So he was director at JEF when they funded UCF which then funded People's Forum in 2018 where he got paid $63k in 2018.

Franziska Kleiner is the director of the United Community Fund (UCF) which gave People's Forum $3 million and Renata Bugni is on the UCF board so Tricontinental... funded itself.

Franziska Kleiner is the director of the United Community Fund (UCF) which gave People's Forum $3 million in 2018.

Kleiner works at ThoughtWorks, founded by Roy Singham.

Tankie capitalist Roy Singham sold ThoughtWorks in 2017 for an undisclosed amount and that same year Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund launders $2.5 million for an unknown donor for People's Forum which was also founded in 2017.

PSL member Manolo De Los Santos is on the boards of People's Forum (PF) + Justice and Education Fund which got massive Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund donations in 2019 and funded United Community Fund which gave PF $4 million 2018.

Tings Chak is on the boards of the Justice and Education Fund + United Community Fund; JEF got massive GSPF funding in 2019 + funded UCF which funded People's Forum + Tricontinental.

They should've put Vijay Prashad's mug on this infographic about Roy Singham's funding of Newsclick which runs pro-CCP propaganda. (Singham reportedly lives in China, Prashad works for a Chinese university.)

Between People's Forum, United Community Fund, Justice and Education Fund, Tricontinental, Codepink, and Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund laundered at least $48 million to left orgs in 2019.

"The People's Goldman Sachs"?

David Sung Mo Chung has a paid position on the board of People's Forum and is listed as principal officer for Justice and Education Fund (first name omitted from the JEF tax filing?).

The registered address for Breakthrough Bt Media Inc (@/BTnewsroom) (EIN: 845071181) is 320 W 37th St, the same address as People's Forum. That Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund money is going far.

Funny how we've never interacted with or even discussed "BreakThrough News" before yet we're blocked.

Maybe it's because BreakThrough News is a PSL front. Most of the people listed on their "Our Team" page are PSL members + it promotes PSL projects like Philadelphia Liberation Center.

BreakThrough News' Monica Cruz is one of the PSL members who signed her name on the document doxxing the woman Steven Powers of the Philadelphia branch abused as part of their harassment campaign.

PSL leader Brian Becker used to have a show on Sputnik where he hosted right-wingers, anti-Semites, anti-vaxxers, and conspiracy theorists. PSL's collaboration with Putin's right-wing regime is long-standing.

People's Forum just confirmed our hypothesis about tech tankie Roy Singham being the ultimate source of their millions laundered through Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund.

Manolo De Los Santos is simping for Roy Singham because that's who pays his salary.

fashbusters.wordpress.com/2021/11/02/doe…

Investigation by @newlinesmag has found that some of the dark money being laundered into People's Forum coffers comes from People's Support Forum (PSF) and PSF has significant investments in Israeli companies and companies complicit in the occupation. newlinesmag.com/reportage/the-…

Turns out basing yourself on the whims of a fickle tech billionaire is a really bad organizing strategy (looking at you, People's Forum and BT Newsroom) but it's a great way to avoid both job security and transparency!

BreakThrough News is thrilled to announce they've spent tankie tech billionaire Roy Singham's money on a new website and redesign.

Support their work by investing in companies complicit in the Israeli occupation.

PSL front Breakthrough News claims to be grassroots-funded yet when it was launched in 2020 it somehow already had over $253,000 in revenue, paid out over $106,000 in salaries/wages, and recorded over $11,000 in assets.

Nice to see MSM going through the receipts we put the spotlight on in 2021 exposing tech billionaire Roy Singham funding People's Forum, Breakthrough News, Vijay Prashad, and Tricontinental.

When George Orwell wrote that "circus dogs jump when the trainer cracks his whip, but the really well-trained dog is the one that turns his somersault when there is no whip" he was talking about Vijay Prashad and Roy Singham.
