I haven't seen such a long yet generic Kim Jong Un speech in years I don't think. Focused on ideology, it's just reminders of things from his speeches since the January Congress. People will nonetheless be busy studying it now, and it seems he thinks they need the reminders
Context: He gave a speech at a "lecture" on Sunday Oct. 10, the 76th party foundation anniversary
Unimportant notes:
-He's exclusively worn a suit and tie (not a Mao suit) in his last 6 formal appearances, since a Sept. 2 politburo meeting
-Stage seating arrangement is awkward
Not sure why, but everyone was apparently instructed not to take any notes and to just listen intently to Kim Jong Un during this speech. Typically, we see everyone taking notes throughout his speeches
His inner circle took some notes before the lecture though. Perhaps "Respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un says not to take notes during the actual speech"

And what are those?
Some kind of dress jelly sandals?
FWIW Kim was standing on a comfort cushion at the Sep 29 SPA session and Sep 2 Politburo meeting, but not at yesterday's speech
