Hey @NICKIMINAJ blonde hair is not only a white people trait. There are black people born with naturally blonde hair.
Fine, we gonna retire these kids after today but Nicki should’ve known better. Defending Jesy by comparing blonde wigs to topics like cultural appropriation , black face, and black-fishing. Has she truly lost her damn mind? 😭😅
These kids (probably adults now) after being used to defend naturally blonde black people once again. Let them rest! 😭
If you are black or of African decent with naturally blonde hair or know someone who is then quote this tweet with a pic. We need more representation. Thanks! ☺️🙌🏾

There’s more to this to discuss, to the people who are saying they aren’t black. Ok fine they may not be African American. Let’s focus on the real issue. As minorities we cannot appropriate white culture, that is the culture of “America”. Also a hair color is not tied to culture.
All white people don’t have blonde hair. Black women don’t wear blonde wigs to look white. Black women do straighten their hair to live up to Eurocentric beauty standards which help gain employment. Natural black hair and black features are not easily accepted in white America.
When you see these Kardashian’s wearing “boxer braids” which are corn rows, and are praised for big butts and big lips, just know it’s a slap in the face to black women who aren’t appreciated for their natural features they are imitating. They build careers off our CULTURE!!
Nicki Minaj being a black woman and using her blonde wigs as an excuse to why it’s ok for white girls to dress up as black women is IGNORANCE. Google the history of black face, look at the many cases of black people not being able to wear their natural hair in the workplace.
Sometimes fame and riches do make these celebs lose touch with what’s going on in our culture. But it’s important as fans of your favorite artists, that you remind them so they don’t spread misinformation to the masses. At the end of the day they represent us on a larger scale.
I do think @NICKIMINAJ should reply or at least issue an apology to those she has offended. Black women specifically who have made her the megastar she is today deserve that much. We all make mistakes and she is not too big to realize that.
