@MaxCRoser 4/7》So even if mankind's CO2 emissions are never reduced (until the coal is used up), if the CO2 emission rate merely plateaus then the CO2 level in the atmosphere must also plateau.
@MaxCRoser 5/7》If CO2 emissions stay at the current rate indefinitely, the atmospheric CO2 concentration will plateau at only ≈510 ppmv. That's only 30% of a "doubling," which is certainly innocuous, and it would be very beneficial for agriculture.
@MaxCRoser 6/7》In fact, even if CO2 emissions increase by 50%, and stay at that accelerated rate indefinitely, the atmospheric CO2 level will plateau at only ≈620 ppmv (only 58% of a doubling), which is also innocuous.
