🕹️ Blockchain gaming emerged from the birth of "play-to-earn", a modality in which the rewards of video games, instead of being ephemeral, were cryptocurrencies with real market value.

The model included mainly 3 participants.

👽 Non-fungible tokens. Collectibles that live on Ethereum.
🪙 A fungible token system, responsible for players rewards.
🎲 A game, the core system that makes sure everything works.

💡 We can say that @AxieInfinity designed a standard for this system, and that is how it did it:

👾 First of all, the non-fungible tokens. Inspired by Pokémon, they created a creatures known as "Axies"

🐟 Axies are unique tokens on Ethereum (NFTs) with different traits

🦎 These traits define the race, aesthetics, and skills of each Axie

🐣 Axies can be reproduced to create new Axies whose traits will be inherited from their parents

🐈 This is a system inspired by @CryptoKitties, one of the first NFT and traits-based videogame

⚔️ Axies are battle creatures that fight vs game's intelligence (PVE) and vs another player's Axies (PVP).

🌟 For each battle won, the player wins $SLP, an ERC20 token.

📈 The $SLP is a token like any other that can be traded. This means there will be a price.

💰 Where does that price come from?

💎 $SLP is necessary to run certain functionalities of the game, such as creating new Axies. If you want to reproduce axies to have more or better axies, you must burn $SLP

⚒️ Besides being a reward token, the $SLP is a utility token.

📊 On top of that, if $SLP is needed to create new Axies, the Axies will have a price that is influenced by the $SLP price.
