🔍🔍Data Investigation 🔎🔎

After not sharing parent & staff feedback on the Districtwide survey for over a year, CCSD finally posted some old data.

Let’s investigate to see what they may have been hiding from the public!

Posting survey results on their website is required of CCSD by Nevada law.

We originally called them out for this in December 2020.

We called CCSD out again in Aug. of 2021

They still had not posted results for 2019-20
nor 2020-2021

By law, the results from the prior school year are to be posted by the start of the following school year

e.g., 2020-21 results posted by Aug 9, 2021.

To date CCSD still hasn’t posted data for 2020-2021 (in violation of Reorg Law)

However, we believe at some point last month they posted results for 2019-20 (over a year late)

So, let’s look at what’s there...

5/?
Parents & staff love their schools & don’t trust the District.

But this is from 2020. How does the community feel now…

6/?
Jara’s Chief of Staff said of getting public feedback on ESSER spending:

"We heard throughout the entire process…the lack of trust people feel towards the District"

Not a few times,
throughout the months-long process, they heard about the community's lack of trust of CCSD

7/?
CCSD also has survey results for the central office.

Let’s see what people who presumably know the district’s secrets think:

- General Counsel
- Police Services
- Data Department

Do they trust CCSD?

8/?
Wow!

Of the 6 administrators in the General Counsel’s office (Lawyers in CCSD Legal Department), 4 of them do NOT think CCSD is transparent & open.

And 2 of the 6 do NOT think CCSD is a credible source of information!!!

9/?
👀

Approximately half of the staff in Police Services don’t think CCSD is credible or transparent about how it operates.

Police services do not think CCSD is transparent about what is going on???

10/?
🤯🤯🤯

About half of the staff who work in CCSD’s data division don’t think CCSD is transparent & open about how it operates.

Less than 2 in 3 think CCSD is a credible source for information.

These are the people primarily in charge of the information!

11/?
That bears repeating,

Less than 2 in 3 people surveyed in the division that is responsible for accurate data reporting to the community think CCSD is a credible source of information.

They're also responsible for providing data to the Board 👀

12/?

To recap:

CCSD has not posted survey results as required by law

Old results show school staff & parents don’t trust CCSD

Those perceptions are validated by recent central office staff who would presumably know:
- Legal
- Police
- & Data Divisions

Enough is enough.

It’s time for new leadership we can trust!

Our community deserves better.
Our parents deserve better.
Our children deserve better.
