.@Buccaneers WR @cyrilgraysonjr hadn’t caught a TD pass since high school before catching a TD from Tom Brady on Sunday.
He has one of the wildest paths to the NFL [THREAD].
Grayson last played football in 2011 at Rummel High School in Louisiana.
He joined the LSU Track & Field team and became one of the most decorated sprinters in program history.
4x NCAA Champion
7x All American
After his track career, he attended @LSUFootball pro day with @_fournette, @Prez, and @TakeAwayTre_.
Scouts were impressed with his 4.33u speed and 10’7” broad jump (via @247sports)
Grayson went undrafted and jumped from roster to roster, including:
Seahawks (2x)
Colts
Texans
Bears
Saints
Cowboys

Finally, the Buccaneers added Grayson to the practice squad in 2019 -- where he earned a Super Bowl ring in 2020.
The Buccaneers added Grayson to the active roster one day before Halloween.
The 27-year-old showed up to the game in a full old man costume. 😂
Then, @TomBrady found Grayson for a 50-yard TD in the Superdome -- just a few miles from where he grew up in Kenner, LA.

The @Buccaneers might need Grayson’s speed again soon.
What a story. 👏
