Today, it’s black Diwali for 70,000 widows of Corona, many waiting for Maha govt to disperse even the 50K announced by centre
~1 lakh ladies have written to @CMOMaharashtra as an elder brother of their parivar & are asking for their Bhau beej this Diwali😢
About 20,000 widows are below 50; most had husbands who were daily wage earners, etc
As per survey done by social activist Heramb Kulkarni on 2500 families, 33 % were overcharged by hospitals
1800 families got bills above 1 lakh which is impossible for these women to pay
Most widows are unskilled & from rural areas & are now burdened with huge debts & families containing aged parents & small kids
They need atleast 2 lakh relief, skill development & easy loan facilities
Even poor states like Bihar have given 2 lakh, but none from Maha?
Ajit dada Pawar had a meeting with org on 6th September but nothing has MOVED on this front?
Will Bhishma pitamah @PawarSpeaks look into it?
Will @priyankagandhi hear the pain of these widows & wipe their tears?
Will @priyankac19 raise voice for them in Parl & party forum?
I would like to end by saying that let’s all help these women in whatever way we can but @OfficeofUT as an elder brother, these 70,000 widows are asking you for help as they look to a black Diwali & a dark future
Let’s all help them as a family🙏🙏
It’s a sister’s request 🙏🙏
