After returning from a trip to Turkey months ago, Zamfara state governors said he is helping secure a deal for first class drones from Turkey. France 24 somehow manages to spin a narrative suggesting the Nigerian military is so weak state governors are now unilaterally

.aquiring their own armed attack drones. Not only is this a delibrate and malicious distortion of the fact, they bring in a panel of analysts that, from they say know nothing about the military.

Nigeria has the most extensive intelligence gathering assets in sub saharan Africa. Preceding any airstrike ISR aircafts take to the skies to hunt for insurgent positions. Once spotted fighters are scrambled.

Once the fighters are airborne they are vectored to their targets by ISR aircraft. The Alpha jet, F-7Ni and L-38s lack modern look down search radars, without intelligence there is no way they can conduct precision strikes on the enemy.

Also, Nigeria has been operating armed attack drones for years. The CH-3 Rainbow have been conducting strikes since as far back February 2015, when the first drone strike was conducted.

The NAF today has the only dedicated attack drone Squadron in all of Africa. Its drone fleet includes Wing Loong II, CH-4 and CH-3B UCAVS.

Also, Nigeria's fleet of armed attack drones are under the control of the Air Force, not the army as espoused by the panelist.

These panelists are the epitome of today's media. Theyve gone from ethically driven intelligent people to uneducated assholes who dwell on negativity.
