Herein a thread of absolutely no importance whatsoever but that may amuse you.

It concerns supply chains, dog shirts, @inlieuoffunshow and correspondence with probably-bewildered customer service representatives.

It does not concern the fate of democracy.

Last month, I was texting with @eve_gaumond (whom you should follow) about an order of dog shirts I was planning from
Clothing Monster.

Dog shirts, my trademark clothing item on @inlieuoffunshow, have their detractors, and to keep @shaneharris, @petestrzok, @page88 and the…

…other haters on their toes, I try to keep a stream of new dog shirts coming on the show—a stream of ever-escalating offensiveness to the anti-dog-shirt aesthetic.

I was bouncing dog shirt ideas off of @eve_gaumond (who is a young AI scholar you should follow). We both…

agreed that this Fluffy Poodle shirt was a must:
clothingmonster.com/en/animal-t-sh…

The order duly went out, as did an order @eve_gaumond (whom you should follow) placed with a different company for a lion shirt.

Packages arrived.

I other shirts were obtained.

But no fluffy poodle shirt.

Interestingly, lion shirt did not arrive for @eve_gaumond (have you followed her yet?) either. We began fretting together over the fate of the two shirts. Had they absconded together in a coordinated act of defiance?

So I wrote to Clothing Monster.

And with promptness worthy of a monstrously great clothing company, Clothing Monster wrote back—though the substance of the letter was disappointing:

I continued to wait.

And then, as I contemplated this profound @scottjshapiro tweet, it dawned on me: this was an actual supply chain issue!

As the American people grew weary of the supply chain problems, I did too.

Lion shirt arrived:

No fluffy poodle shirt.

A gecko shirt I had ordered long after ordering fluffy poodle shirt shipped.

No fluffy poodle shirt.

The nation of France, through its elite diplomatic core (@AurelieBonal and @franceintheus), sought to change my animal shirt allegiances—with some success I might add.

And still no fluffy poodle shirt.

So today, I thought it was time to check in once again with His or Her Monsterousness, the Clothing Monster Itself. I wrote another letter:

And that is where things stand as of Sunday evening. I will update this thread as need be to keep people posted on the fate of fluffy poodle shirt.

Damn autocorrect: corps
