So... Artur Pawlowski continues to be a going concern as @JaneQCitizen indicates in this thread. It also seems clear that he is now toying with some sovcit rhetoric coupled with his already dominionist theocratic fantasies. 1/

On Friday Artur participated in yet another march through the streets of Calgary fighting the tyranny of minor inconveniences put in place to stop the spread of a disease during a pandemic. 2/

His supporters cheered him on like trained seals, posted incendiary comments suggesting requirements to be vaccinated or tested for Covid before entering a building is basically the Holocaust (sadly, they are being serious) and spreading lies about the vaccine. 3/

As @JaneQCitizen notes in her thread Artur Pawlowski spoke to his supporters Friday night to tease a plan (take a look at Jane's thread for the video). 4/

Again, a selection of the comments indicate that he has managed to rile people up to the point that they are openly suggesting armed insurrection and ridiculous claims of prosecuting as "war criminals" those who are fighting the spread of the virus. 5/

So that brings us to the speech Pawlowski gave early today. Again, @JaneQCitizen has it on her thread as well so I'm going to try to avoid going over the same things she did. 6/

One thing of note is in trying to coopt the Solidarity struggle of Poland in the 1980s, Pawlowski seems to also trying to earn a little bit of scratch on the side. 7/

It has also attracted (unsurprisingly) both the PPC and Alberta separatists. 8/

Finally, the bonkers comparison in which they are claiming efforts to save the lives of Canadians is a sinister plot to kill Canadians as Hitler murdered Jews.

Because... that makes no sense at all in rational minds. 9/

So we begin with Pawlowski' hyperbolic proclamation that, because he and his supporters are subject to the same laws as everyone else, that is proof of tyranny because how DARE "they" fine "us"! 10/

In what can be described as Trumpist rhetoric, Pawlowski lists a litany of grievances and suggests elections are rigged, presumably because Canadian's reject his and his supporters' views which further suggests his support for democracy goes no further than his own interests. 11/

And what is the utopian vision of Canada Artur promotes?

Well, a theocratic state acting separately and parallel with the "corrupted" system that holds him accountable for his poor behaviour and frequent violation of the law. 12/

My favourite part is when he invokes Dief the Chief who Pawlowski seems to believe would also fight against the poison that are vaccines. 14/

He then gets to his "21 demands." I decided to cut the video to take a look at each of them.

I'll also post what I think he is REALLY saying in these demands. 16/

First, "we want to act with impunity and put people at risk during a pandemic because we are selfish conspiracy theorists." 17/

Second, "we don't understand that our choices have consequences and are throwing a collective temper tantrum because we aren't getting our way." 18/

Third, "we think being asked to wear a mask to enter a business is a lockdown which strongly suggests we have no idea what a lockdown actually is." 19/

Fourth, "I want to be able to tell people lies with no one calling me on my lies and no consequences, so when I violate the terms of service for Facebook or Twitter they, a private business, can't kick me off." 20/

Fifth, "I really hate the CBC because they fact check me and how dare they find fault with my paranoid ravings!" 21/

Sixth, "I don't like that several judges have ruled against me so I want to pick my own judges who will do what I want them to do... because my whims are justice!" 22/

Seventh, "I think my personal pet grievances should be everyone else's concerns and we should vote on every one of them until the outcome I desire is reached." 23/

Eighth, "I want to recall politicians who enforce legal and necessary health mandates because they are being mean to me when my ONLY fault is rejecting laws I don't agree with, violating them constantly, and spread dangerous misinformation!" 24/

Ninth, "hey, since Trump is calling into question elections he doesn't win, lets do the same here!"

"What? We already DO use paper ballots! I don't believe you even though I would have HAD to use paper ballots to vote!" 25/

Tenth, "we want to select our own ideologically pure police force that will be beholden to our interests because, you know, that wouldn't be dangerously oppressive at all!" 26/

Eleventh, "I want to say whatever I want and if you disagree with me with actual evidence you should be punished because you are censoring me!" 27/

Twelfth, "we are SURE George Soros and Bill Gates are making bank on killer vaccines but need to confirm our bias!" 28/

Thirteenth, "we don't know how the education system actually works, but since kids are being exposed to a world of ideas and taught critical thinking skills, they are questioning our ridiculous claims thus teachers are communists!" 29/

Fourteenth, "we're not saying we want cameras in classrooms, but we are sort of saying we want to micromanage teachers and health professionals because my ignorance should be valued more highly than their expertise and experience." 30/

Fifteenth, "Drill baby drill and screw the planet because climate change is a communist lie"

"Also, you hear about those floods in BC? Crazy right? Probably the result of Jewish space lasers!" 31/

Sixteenth, "I REALLY want to shoot people who I don't like." 32/

Seventeenth, "now here is where I show how little I know about how governments function." 33/

Eighteenth, "now is the time I appeal to both the greed AND stupidity of my followers!" 34/

Nineteenth, "my child has every right to make your child sick!" 35/

Twentieth, "really, I have NO idea how this tax thing works but the crowd really eats this shit up!" 36/
