We've said it before, but we LOVED #Eternals! For many reasons, among them is that it's a massive, beautiful, and original Marvel story that's STACKED with Easter Eggs! Here are some that you might have missed ⬇️⬇️⬇️

First, the opening text crawl in the movie starts with "In the beginning," which is the same way The Book of Genesis begins in the Bible, making this a nod to how the Eternals were here when the MCU began.

Also, in the opening text crawl, we learn about the "six singularities," which is a nod to the Infinity Stones. In Guardians of the Galaxy, the Collector says the Infinity Stones predate the universe. Now we learn that Arishem predates them.

While we learn that Olympia doesn't really exist in the MCU, it actually does in the comics. Olympia is home to the Eternals and was first mentioned in Eternals #5.

Kingo mentions how Sprite, Ikaris, and Sersi's vibe is similar to Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, and Wendy from Peter Pan, and in the comics, J.M. Barry based Peter Pan on Sprite.

Kingo complains that Thor has been ghosting him and that they've known each other for thousands of years. This is a nod to a comic book storyline in The Mighty Thor where the difference between Celestials and Greek Gods is explained, and Thor interacts with the Eternals.

When Sersi calls Dane, she encourages him to make amends with his uncle. In the comics, Dane's uncle is John Garrett, who wielded the Ebony Blade before Dane.

The Celestial inside of the Earth is named Tiamut. In the comics, Tiamut is called the Dreaming Celestial, & he decides he doesn't want to destroy humanity. Probably because he followed New Rockstars on Twitter and decided there is at least one good person worth saving.

There are several references to DC comics and the DCEU in #Eternals. Ikaris is compared to Superman, and Karun is compared to Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler.

Thena finds Excalibur on The Domo (The Eternal's Ship). Camelot and King Arthur are mentioned in the Marvel comics often. In fact, Camelot connects to Black Knight's history 👀

We are introduced to Pip the Troll in the mid-credits scene, a character taken directly from the comics. While Pip is seen with Eros here, he's often associated with Adam Warlock in the comics, who Will Poulter will play in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

In the post-credits scene, Dane opens a box that contains a badass sword, known as the Ebony Blade. In the comics, Dane — as Black Knight — wields the sword, which is essentially an evil alternative to Excalibur.

And finally, you might have noticed that Vampires have come up a lot in the MCU recently. Well, the voice you hear at the very end of Dane's post-credits scene is Mahershala Ali, who will be playing Blade in an upcoming MCU movie. Blade is an iconic vampire hunter.
