NE has 13 airports currently, including Sikkim's Pakyong. With services connecting Imphal to Shillong & other routes within NE, UDAN is providing wings to the aspirations of the NE people.

Even after 70 years of Independence, many northeastern states had no rail connectivity.
But PM Sri @narendramodi Govt is working to connect all capitals of NE by broad gauge. Imphal, Manipur's capital, is being connected through 111 km-long Jiribam-Imphal project soon.

For long, Northeast had suffered from insurgency & violence. Bandh, strikes had stopped it from realizing its growth potential
However, through Naga Peace Accord, Bru-Reang Refugee settlement, Bodo Peace Accord or Karbi Peace Accord, PM Modi govt has brought stability to NE

In North East, there has been a 70% reduction in insurgency incidents, 80% less civilian deaths & 78% less deaths among civilian forces in 2019, compared to 2013.
PM Modi Govt is continuously promoting peace & resolving age-old conflicts in the region bringing in stability.

Union Govt has laid special emphasis on supporting the livelihood of citizens of NE.
₹311.70 Cr has been disbursed to 720 projects by North Eastern Development Finance Corporation.
97 processing & packaging units are being set up benefitting 1094+ villages in the region.

Bamboo is critical to Northeast's economy with the region hosting 60% of its stock. Earlier, it was classified as a tree, attracting several restrictions in its transport

More than 50 lakh connections have been released to beneficiaries. Scheme also resulted in creating 3,000 new jobs with LPG coverage reaching all time high in NE at 90%.

Given its geostrategic location, the internal security of the region is susceptible to external linkages. Border infrastructure development, ICBR investment have been strategic decisions.

PM Modi Govt is also determined in leveraging digital technologies to transform Northeast and enhance the ease of living through ‘Digital North East Vision’.
This ensures mobile connectivity to villages, e-class rooms will be set up in 6 medical colleges for betterment.

In Manipur, development projects worth ₹750 Cr were initiated by PM Sri @narendramodi which includes construction of National Sports University & 1,000 Anganwadi Centers.
311 projects worth ₹1,096 Cr & 39 new projects are being taken up at estimated cost of ₹278.77 Cr.

PM Sri @narendramodi Govt also approved the proposal of setting up @MDoNER_India - a dedicated Ministry to work towards holistic growth of NE.
This unstinting support from the Union Govt towards NE has been phenomenal. The region is bound to prosper in the coming days.
