We are watching an elite-led cultural revolution, being conducted *from above* by powerful institutions in the name of oppressed minorities.
1/
This was impossible in classical Marxism, because Marx and Engels regarded the capitalists and their allies—that is, the elites—as the oppressors.
2/
But after WWI, neo-Marxists devised a more flexible theory that allowed any powerful social structure—not just capitalism—to be regarded as the oppressor.
In this way, racial and gender oppression came to be at least as important as oppression on the basis of economic class.
3/
Marx and Engels foresaw that the Revolution would be led in part by members of the elites who chose to side with the oppressed working class.
4/
What Marx and Engels didn’t foresee is that neo-Marxism would open the door for *most or all* of the wealthy and powerful elites in a given society to lead a Revolution directed principally against racial and gender oppression—*instead* of economic oppression by capitalists.
5/
So now we have something remarkable: Wealthy and powerful neo-Marxist elites—including ideologically neo-Marxist capitalists—leading a Revolution against racial and gender oppression *that is supposed to be taking place primarily among the working class.*
6/
Marx and Engels claimed that the capitalists and their allies were using Enlightenment liberalism as an ideological justification for the continued oppression of the working class.
7/
What they didn’t foresee is that capitalists and their allies could just as easily use “woke” neo-Marxism as an ideological justification for subjugating old-time liberals and conservatives—most of whom are today found among the working class.
8/
So we’ve come full circle:
Marxism was intended as a theory of “Revolution from below” whose aim was to liberate the working class.
But it’s now become a race- and gender-flavored neo-Marxism, a theory of “Revolution from above” seeking the subjugation of the working class.
9/
As I’ve said many times, I’m no class warrior. I’m a nationalist, and I’d prefer to see a partnership among the different classes and tribes that make up the nation.
That’s what every nation needs in order to endure and grow strong.
10/
But if the elites embrace neo-Marxist race and gender theories as an instrument for oppressing their less powerful and less educated countrymen, I know which side I’m going to be on.
