Little thread on some Easter eggs in the Matrix 4 trailer 🐰🥚🥚🥚

Most of these images come from this trailer, but some were taken from other ones

Its noteworthy the movie is called Matrix Ressurections

Its releasing during the winter solstice

The trailer begins with Neo in a therapists office

In the background is a pinecone figurine

A symbol representing the pineal gland, there is a large pinecone statue at the Vatican

The trailer has several mirror scenes

Just as the other movies did

The release date is a reflection of itself

Neo looks in a mirror and sees an older version of himself

In another scene a mirror is used as a portal

Theres the scene in the first Matrix movie when Neo touches the mirror and it moves like a fluid, then absorbs his body

A scene shows the book Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking-Glass

Which also uses mirrors as portals

Trailer uses the song White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane

Its surprising the Matrix waited till movie 4 to use this song, as the lyrics sound like direct inspiration for the movie

There's another white rabbit tattoo, the girl who has it tells Neo to follow him thru the portal

Her blue hair is cause for suspicion

As this movie is using the red vs blue color dichotomy in multiple ways

Neos therapist wears a blue shirt, glasses, socks, and has a blue butterfly and paperweight in his office

The character reading the Alice in Wonderland book is wearing red with red glasses

New Morpheus offers the red pill, and wears red as well

The therapist is likely the one prescribing Neo the blue pills he's taking

That keep him mentally trapped in this reality, with his memory completely wiped of the adventures from the other movies

A scene shows the words Deus Machina

Deus ex Machina was the central interface, essentially the diety of the machines in the previous movies

Deus ex machina translates to God from the machine

The plots to the video game Deus Ex and the movie Ex Machina are relevant

Elon Musk changed his avatar to the Deus Ex cover/main character in the early stages of covid lockdowns

Elon is working on Neuralink, the AI brain chips, to give us "superhuman" abilities

There is a black cat shown in the therapist office

In the 1st Matrix, cats are an example of deja vu that are signs the code of the Matrix has been altered

The black cat can have multiple real world meanings also

Throughout history people have associated black cats with witchcraft, satan, demons, bad luck, etc

People also say that black cats in dreams represent waning psychic ability

I thought that connection made sense as Neo completely forgot the matrix and his abilities

Neo is shown in a tub with a rubber duck on his head

Given the context of the movie this likely is a reference to a debugging technique in which a programmer explains the code to a rubber duck he carries around

Butterflies typically represent Project Monarch, part of MKultra, the Matrix is about mind control

Project Looking Glass is the alleged government project to see the future

In Marvel Project Looking Glass took quantum matter from the dark dimension to turn into a living being

Because it's been 20 years since the original matrix movies

This scene was particularly interesting, you get the implication Neo feels some deja vu here in the sense were enslaved by machines

But in this era we've been brainwashed to the point we're willingly enslaved

Due to the fact there's portals in this movie

I couldn't help but notice the number 8 next to an eyeball looking symbol 👁

And the other paper weight has a spiral, which connects to the portals & the solstice release date

The numerology seems to come into play

There are 2 occasions when the address 155 is shown, adding up to 11

The 1st master number, 11 is associated with portals and the Free Masonic pillars

The movie takes place in San Francisco, 1111 California St is the SF Masonic Auditorium

The building with the 155 address is 1 of 2 with white and black checkerboard floors

Which also exist in the original matrix
