.@leilachaibi MEP, a key campaigner for a Directive, says the EU Commission proposal is "a major social advance for platform workers"
.@LudovicVoet of @etuc_ces says the Directive "ensures workers will now access rights", but says the platform lobbyists have been successful in making the employment status criteria "burdensome".
Stephen Cotton from @ITFglobalunion describes the Directive as a "landmark for raising standards of employment in the platform economy"
Uber and Bolt are both highly critical of the Directive, saying it puts "thousands of jobs at risk".
Delivery Hero's criticisms of the Directive are more nuanced, while Just Eat are strongly in favour.
