We're going to see multiple rounds of rain and storms tonight, with high wind being the primary severe threat. But don't rule out a brief spin up tornado. Most of this action will be happening after dark, which greatly increases the threat since most folks will be sleeping! #ohwx

Lets start with the good news: instability will be low. The time of year, temps and non-diurnal nature of the storms will keep CAPE low to almost non-existent overnight. #ohwx

Bad news? Wind shear, and plenty of it. This is from future models for early this evening, but those 60kts of effective shear will be headed in to the Ohio Valley after midnight. #ohwx

Here's the simulated radar, I'll go through analysis below... #ohwx

ROUND 1 comes in after sunset. Nothing notable with this round, just some showers with a slight possibility of a rumble of thunder with this. #ohwx

ROUND 2 will be more significant. This is where discrete supercells could form. Best chance of severe weather from this round will be along and south of I-70. Again, straight line winds and a possible tornado out of this round. #ohwx

ROUND 3, if it develops, could be where we see the greatest threat of straight line winds. This will roll in after sunrise, where a quasi-linear MCS could produce significantly damaging winds. This is the round that I am least confident in what will happen. #ohwx

The western half of Central Ohio is under a slight risk for severe weather through the overnight. As future outlooks are released we'll need to keep an eye out for the SPC potentially moving the Enhanced Risk in to our area if they deem necessary. #ohwx
