.@POTUS is deeply committed to taking action to reduce all forms of gun violence. Our Administration has taken more steps using existing authority to reduce gun violence than any other Administration in its first year. Here's some of what we’ve done so far, and the work ahead:
On April 7, the President delivered a Rose Garden address announcing initial steps to reduce gun violence, including reining in the proliferation of ghost guns. whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/…
After his Rose Garden address, President Biden invited the gun violence survivors in the audience into the Oval Office to continue the conversation on gun violence reduction.
In June, @POTUS hosted a roundtable discussion on reducing gun crime with law enforcement and community leaders, including people directly impacted by gun violence who now lead community violence interventions.
Later that same day, the President announced his comprehensive strategy to reduce gun crime, including new executive actions to stem the supply of firearms into illegal markets and expand community-oriented policing.

Just last month, our Administration released a third package of executive actions to reduce gun violence, focused on promoting safe storage of firearms. Safe storage of firearms helps reduce suicide, family violence, and other gun tragedies.

Right now, @POTUS is calling for the Senate to pass three pieces of House-passed legislation to reduce gun violence, including the Build Back Better Act, which includes a historic $5 billion for community violence interventions proven to save lives.
