The Battle of Applebees.
A new front opened last night as antivaxxer forces ignored the heavily NYPD fortified Cheesecake Factory and opted do a “sit in” at Applebees neighborhood bar and grill at the Queens Center Mall.
Antivaxxers again used their kids as protest props.
Antivaxxers refused to show vaccine cards and sat across multiple tables. At this point, the Applebees closes in 45 minutes.
Multiple antivaxxers were streaming themselves from inside the Applebees. This guy goes outside and draws the NYPD’s attention to their protest.

This antivaxxer tries to involve a table minding their own business.
More cops are pouring in.
This antivaxxer says her son will have to survive on a Cliff bar because Applebee’s won’t let her order dessert. They ate at Shake Shack.
She justifies disrupting employee income: “We don’t want to hurt the workers, but at the same time the mandates…”
As more cops arrive with zip ties, this antivaxxer calls it “fun stuff” before trying to argue with police that Applebee’s is a public space.
He pleads to the cops, “His mother promised him dessert tonight.”
You can’t make this up. In an attempt to educate the police, this antivaxxer reads NYC’s mandate and ends up reading the part that says businesses *can* require masks and vaccine status proof.
2 are arrested…
This man yelled about being a “patriot” just before getting arrested at Applebee’s.
Another yells at officers to “go back to their country.” The antivaxxers also attempted to shame the NYPD with the man’s veteran status.
This former middle school teacher, who yelled at officers to go back to their countries, was arrested and wanted to make sure her Instagram Live was still on.
Those who didn’t want to be arrested left and began to yell at the police from outside the Applebee’s:
“We do not support the NYPD anymore.”
“Nazi Germany”
“Welcome to Nazi New York.”
Applebee’s closed the gate and one antivaxxer said, “lock up the NYPD.”
They then chanted, “shame on you.”
One antivaxxer struck an Applebee’s sign. Police kicked her out of the mall.
They try to say the person isn’t with them, but they are.
The antivaxxers compared the NYPD arresting Applebee’s trespassers to Nazi Germany and shared FEMA camps conspiracy theories.
After this, the antivaxxers followed the police van and continued protesting.
