Trending trades' low time frame are best met with multiple confluences. Asteroids Belt has 3 levels of belts, covered on youtube. The basics being any strong trend respects the top belt, and trend in general respects the belt. Knowing this lets break down the MTF Analysis below.
Below you will see 2 important criteria for me, 4HR for the structure confirmation. In side the belt range, we can play between the levels, 1HR trend confirmation to the upside. What does this mean?
Likeliness to play toward the middle belt on the 4hr is high.
Now the Execution, we know HTF trend is upwards for 1hr, we know 4hr is indicating range play. Execution? Find strength in the LTF. 5Min Belt shows a reclaim and retest, indicating trend is likely to continue.
Further confluence for the weary. 1 Minute and 5minute confluences.
Bear examples and basically how I was tweeting my trades recently , 1hr down trend confirmed without fail, lower highs. 4Hr is failing to get into the belt, now that we have confirmed bearish structure without fail.
We look lower timeframe and start looking for trades in that direction. 5minute belt failure indicating the weakness. 1 minute belt failure as well highlighted at green. Trend is shifting back towards HTF down trend.
With both charts on screen look at where the failures occurred. 1minute failure at 5minute level for confluence
What did you end up playing? Executed on the 5minute/1minute, but played the 1hr structure downwards. TPs can be set at belt ranges, move your sl to belt levels previously ran by and you can set a small percentage as a runner.
