Friendly reminder that Fred Savage was FOURTEEN years old when he acted alongside Kevin Spacey in the 1990 TV movie 'When You Remember Me'

the SAME AGE that 2 of Spacey's accusers were

This is what Fred looked like then - a kid. Because that is what a 14 y/o is, a CHILD. 1/14

N.B Fred is NOT an accuser of Spacey's, but Anthony Rapp is, and he was 14 when his accusation took place

This is what Rapp looked like then

There are NO excuses

Not 'Whoops I was drunk'
Not 'Whoops I'm gay'
Not 'I can't remember'

'When You Remember Me' is a good movie about a serious subject, and I'm not trying to disservice that in any way

But knowing what we know now about Kevin Spacey, some of the scenes just...

Didn't
Age
Well

I present to you - A thread

To start with, there’s THIS line, which really really didn’t age well

Spacey then takes the kid over to his house.

(Fred’s character is called Mike, who is also 14 in the movie)

He plies Mike with beer

5/14

And then prepares a rather romantic looking dinner table setup

Oh and there’s wine too!

Later on in the movie, Spacey visits Mike in hospital

Yep, even the way he looms round the curtain is downright creepy

But that’s not all, because this scene contains a whole lotta nope...

7/14

Uhhhmmm...

8/14

OH NO

OH NO

This did NOT age well

9/14

Uh oh

10/14

YIKES

11/14

Okay, that hospital scene had a whole lot of creepy going on

But yup, there’s even MORE that didn’t age well

12/14

The movie ending is triumphant, however I can’t help but draw parallels when seeing Kevin Spacey lifting up a 14 y/o boy and carrying him off...

13/14

You know, seeing him interacting with a 14 y/o, seeing the stark difference of age, it really drives home just how messed up it is for a grown man to look at someone that age and even WANT to do something...

But to then ACT on it??

That is never excusable.
