Places to visit in Kisumu on BUDGET.

1. Kit Mikayi
Vast granite rock tower with a rich history. Breathtaking views. Climbing the rocks to the top is an adventurous task. A group of women treat you to a traditional dance when we you hike down. Pics courtesy @turnupinmotion

2. Kisumu Impala Sanctuary

Never been up & close to Africa's wild animals, this is the place. Very ideal place to unwind & relax. Also a great few of Lake Victoria from the park. Entry: KES 200 adults & KES 100 for Children. Pics courtesy @kwskenya

3. Kisumu Museum

A cool place with rich history on Luo culture. There's a fresh-water aquarium, outdoor snake park and tortoise pens. Pics courtesy @EbosoAnne

4. Hippo Point

An open viewing point. A great place to watch the beautiful sunsets. You can also charter a boat to watch the hippos. Pics @KinyanBoy

5. Dunga Beach

Breathtaking view of the lake victoria especially the sunset . Boats docking & leaving for fishing. A variety of fish restaurants selling fish fresh from the lake. Pic @nancyokutah

6. Dunga Hill Camp

A nice place to get away from the heat of Kisumu city. They have boat rides across the lake. Plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the sunset over the lake. Also offer camping, a bar & Kitchen. Pics IG: dungahillcamp

7. Ndere Island National Park

The Island is so beautiful,peaceful & serene, ideal for a picnic with family/friends. Allows hiking & camping. Home to a variety of birds i.e Fish Eagles. Pics courtesy @DallaAdventures

8. Luanda Magere Site and Grave

A site in Sidho with a stone is still revered as the spot where Luanda Magere died.

Extremely beautiful handcraft. Very low prices. Treasures made by some warm & talented artists. It is worth the visit.
