@KurtVonneguys If the graphic novel left you hankering to podcast, an all time Kurt Blurts episode sure would be great. Could also have a deep cuts section. Doubt I’d of read this story if y’all hadn’t mentioned it, and it’s such a beautiful, unusual, breath of optimism.

I realize this is not a content request service. But for whatever reason I started making my own list this morning. Just took a few minutes to hit 12.

Bluebeard.

"Please write that down"

Mother Night

I honestly don’t remember what this is from. One of the essays, I believe.

“All that is required is that we become less selfish” I believe this is from a speech at Bennington college.

Jailbird

I want to say this is From “Man Without a Country”

Breakfast of Champions.

Breakfast of Champions

Breakfast of Champions. “Adapting to chaos there in the cocktail lounge” might be my No. 2 Kurt Blurt all time just on the writing.

The beginning of Deadeye Dick. “Watch out for life. I have caught life. I have come down with life. … Nothing they said could be appealed.”

“The economy is a thoughtless weather system.”

One more from BOC. This is absolutely worth looking for in hardcover.

“No damn cat, no damn cradle.”

I've quoted here at least 16 "Kurt Blurts" from at least a dozen works. Fewer than I thought! I'll simply defer to @SWAIM_CORP on Sirens, other than including this:

Palm Sunday: "Trust a crowd to look at the wrong end of a miracle every time. ... The Sermon on the Mount suggests a mercifulness that can never waver or fade."

Also Palm Sunday:

Alright ONE MORE from Breakfast of Champions. “So we still have among us some men who can remember when God spoke clearly to mankind. … What else is sacred? Oh, Romeo and Juliet, for instance. And all music is.”

Hocus Pocus: “As history shows, as history yells: They have never been numerous! Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance.”
