Well I figure I should provide a bit of an update on the convoy affair.

To see where I started, you can click on the following link. 1/

Today the organizers and the administrators of the Go Fund Me issued a press release in which they claim their protest is peaceful and that extremist elements are not a part of it. 2/

Yesterday, they also posted a now apparently deleted update to the Go Fund Me stating that Pat King was not a part of the convoy effort. 3/

Well, there's a problem with that claim. You see, Pat King is listed as the Northern Alberta contact. 4/

Also, Pat King himself decided to make a statement early in the morning to account for the then updated Go Fund Me suggesting he wasn't involved.

He suggests he knew and approved of the update as a "pr" move. 5/

He repeats that claim later as well. 6/

So, someone isn't telling the truth, and for the first time in my experience I don't think Pat is the liar.

The rest of it is of course typical Pat. He again lies about @antihateca receiving $45 million. 7/

Claims the military is "with them." 8/

Plugs his own fundraising effort. Direct deposit to his bank account but, don't worry.

His accounting firm will be making sure everything is on the up and up (he has also made claims about having a team of lawyers in the past so take this as you will). 9/

Also, "the media is the virus" which he suggests started this by reporting cases.

I guess he is also of the opinion if it isn't reported, it isn't really happening which is what one might expect of an ostrich. 10/

Anyways, in some ways this is the side show now.

Let's say the organizers aren't being disingenuous and really do intend to have a peaceful protest.

How do they then police everyone else who are coming, such as the Canada First groypers? 11/

In the thread I posted yesterday I discussed Tyler Russell whom @antihate has published a number of articles about. 12/

antihate.ca/canada_first_e…

Last night he spent a portion of his stream talking about this clip and how awesome it would be for a truck to plow through the wall surrounding Parliament. 15/

Last night he double-downed on his belief that the act of driving a truck through that wall would be "based". 16/

He later triple-downs while also boasting that "they" can't stop them. 17/

In fact the entire stream is an eyeopener regarding at least one of the groups who plan to attend.

The start really deals with the motivations of this particular hate group. 18/

Peaceful protests don't work. 19/

It makes sense that truckers, real men who are mostly unvaccinated (this isn't in fact true) and who are "old stock" white Canadians who would be leading the charge. 20/

"Lock down the capital." 21/

Says that attendance for his hate group is mandatory. 22/

Praises the Go Fund Me campaign, but is also very critical of one of the admins in part because he is LGBTQ which Russell finds abhorrent. 23/

Critical of Conservative Politicians who have gotten on board claiming they are opportunists, using homophobic language to describe @PierrePoilievre. 24/

Seriously (so he claims) suggests making Max Bernier or Randy Hillier king after the Liberal government is forced from power. 25/

I don't know about you, but I sort of question Tyler Russell's commitment to democratic change. 26/

27/

More demands for the capital to be locked down. 28/

He is critical of the right-wing media in this country for, basically, not being right wing enough. 29/

In stating you can't be too right wing, he suggests this weekend things be turned around not just two years, but back to the 1950s or 60s. 30/

Continues to fear monger about what "they" have taken from you stating people should be enraged. 31/

While he laughs off the idea of the truck rally being terroristic, he is happy to learn that LGBTQ+ are said to be nervous claiming they should be frightened because people like him are taking the country back for "real" Canadians. 32/

Expounds on the importance of authenticity and being yourself... while trying to emulate Nick Fuentes right down to the cadence of his voice and his mannerisms. 33/

And finally finished with what appears to be a suggestive threat towards the Prime Minister couched in a hypothetical. 35/

So, that was a deep dive. If you feel as dirty as I do, then you are likely a decent human being disgusted with the likes of Tyler Russell.

So why focus on this discount Opie? 36/

Canada First is only one of a number of similar groups attracted to this protest.

So, even if we assume that the organizers don't want people like Russell there as they have claimed, how do they plan on stopping it? 37/

I'll end this thread by noting a bit of irony.

First, the supply chain seems to be improving. 38/

Second, the borders (at least as of today and for the past week I've been monitoring them) aren't subject to log delays. 39/

So if, as some in the convoy have suggested, they plan to starve Canadians into supporting their efforts, it doesn't appear as of now to be in the cards. 40/

Just in case anyone is interested. 41/

Well he seems nice. 42/

The full article. 43/
