1. Optimistic Ethereum
Optimism is a rollup which can greatly reduce transaction times & fees on ETH by a magnitude of 100x+
It does so by running computations off-chain, bundling tx data in batches then writing to the main chain in the form of calldata

2. Arbitrum One
Arbitrum is also an optimistic rollup, minimizing computation and batching txs on the main chain to reduce gas costs.
The network can scale up to 40 thousand transactions per second, while offering the same security as Ethereum.
3. zkSync
zkSync is an EVM-compatible zero knowledge proof rollup that may be the ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐จ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ for ETH scaling.
zk rollups utilize powerful cryptographic proofs to verify txs in batches on ETH.
This is useful, as proofs can be submitted by anyone to withdraw to L1 instantly
4. Loopring
Loopring features a unique layer two ecosystem for trading various tokens, making payments, and more with very little fees.
It is built for enterprises, utilizing zkproof technology.
They are building counterfactual wallets to help onboard users to L2 without gas!
5. Hop
My personal favorite on this list, Hop Protocol allows for simple and quick swapping of ETH across any Optimistic rollup.
You can even avoid the wait period for optimistic bridges by using Hop instead!
It has a Uniswap-esque interface to make this all possible.
