We are so proud to celebrate LGBT+ History Month across our Libraries this month. Take a browse at our displays and reading nooks (📸👌 @ Bute Library) when you visit, showcasing the people and movements that have pushed equalities forward 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ #LGBTHM22

We've passed the baton to our @EnfysCardiff staff and @lgbtcardiff students to select an individual who means a lot to them on the theme 'Politics in Art'. We'll showcase these picks throughout the month and match each selection with a resource from our collections! #LGBTHM22

Our first suggestion comes from our very own Frankie who has added Tove Jansson as his selection for our list. 'Discovered Queer Desires: Rereading Same-Sex Sexuality from Finnish and Estonian Life Stories of the 1990s' is our paired e-resource: librarysearch.cardiff.ac.uk/permalink/44WH… #LGBTHM22

Big thanks to Em for suggesting Bayard Rustin, the openly gay civil rights strategist and spiritual singer, to be added to our list. Access 'Time on two crosses: the collected writings of Bayard Rustin' online here: librarysearch.cardiff.ac.uk/permalink/44WH… #LGBTHM22

Sound up for Rustin's 1952 spiritual rendition of 'Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen' #LGBTHM22

Another today from our @EnfysCardiff network. Andy @llantwit selects Russell T. Davies as his pick for our collaborative list.

Many of Russell's TV shows are available on our @cardiffuni Box of Broadcasts subscription, including Cucumber🥒 here: learningonscreen.ac.uk/ondemand/playl… #LGBTHM22

Next to our @EnfysCardiff chair Karen, who has offered Laverne Cox as her first suggestion. Perfectly paired with this Guardian article 'Disclosure: behind Laverne Cox's Netflix documentary on trans representation': theguardian.com/film/2020/jun/… #LGBTHM22
