Yellow Pirelli
Original art and a thread..
#Inter #Pirelli #FootballShirts #NoHomeKit

In 1995, Pirelli and Inter signed a deal that would go down in football shirt history with brand new shirts, particularly change and goalkeeper strips, adorned by the tyre manufacturer's logo almost every year. In total, the logo appeared 8* times in it's famous, bright yellow.

1995/96 Away
Pirelli's first season and Umbro colour-matched their and Pirelli's logos to the crest of Inter in a one-of-a-kind green shirt that is so bad, some claim is good. Roberto Carlos' only season at the club.

1996/97 Away
Back to back yellow Pirelli sponsors on the away shirt, this time bringing the home colours onto a strong banner that helps bring out the colour in the logo.

1997/98 Third
Possibly Inter's most famous change shirt. A classic that was worn during the 1998 UEFA Cup triumph by Ronaldo, Zamorano, Djorkaeff et al. Provided inspiration for later shirts..

1997/98 GK
Less memorable as it wasn't worn in Europe. This black number was the only goalkeeper shirt to have a yellow sponsor and was worn in league matches by the stalwart, Gianluca Pagliuca.

2004-07 Third
With Nike having taken over manufacturing responsibilities in 1998, they waited a full 6 years before releasing a throwback to the UEFA Cup classic. Brighter shades of blue but still recognisable, particularly with Adriano in mind.

2005-06 Away
Another home-coloured banner behind a yellow sponsor reminiscent of 9 years prior. In the same Total 90 template as its home and third counterparts, a clean and classic design for the club now.

2020-21 Third
Seemingly only saving it for special occasions, it was 13 years before we'd see yellow Pirelli again. This time on the throwback². Nike went for shades of grey instead of blue but again, it's instantly recognisable and remembered for a title-winning season.

2020-21 Fourth
A shirt that said goodbye to an old era while welcoming in a new one. This unique design featured the new crest for the first time with an Ajax-esque sponsor down the right side in its bright and bold yellow. Goodbye Pirelli💛

*Honourable mentions
95-96 Special
I don't know much about this shirt, whether it was worn officially or not.
08-09 Home
Gold sponsor and a home shirt. Still lovely though.
16-17 Home
The only time the sponsor appeared in yellow on a home shirt. My focus was on change/gk shirts.

17-18 Third
Debatable whether or not it's yellow. I'd say its more lime green.
18-19 Special
Gold again.
19-20 Third
Yellow background to red text. The original Pirelli logo.
