I see the new coping strategy regarding the ending of restrictions is that the protests accomplished nothing because we were going to re-open anyways.
I thought I would make a quick thread on how many reopening plans Ontario has already had.

Plan 1 was announced in May 2020 and it originally looked like this.
All of the regulations regarding the reopening plan would be legislated under the Reopening Ontario Act.
This legislation is still in force.
(More on that later)
These are all the regulations currently in force.
And these are all of the regulations that have been revoked.
In October of 2020 a colour coded system was put in place to determine which region would be in which level of restrictions.
Let’s call this Plan 1.
When that plan didn’t work the province abandoned the colour coded system in May of 2021.
On May 21st, 2021 Ontario announced Plan 2 to end restrictions with a 3 Step plan based on vaccination rates in the province.
Plan 2 never had an actual Step 4 for ending all restrictions. Ontario was sort of reopen by mid-July 2021 but all of that changed once the Federal Election campaigns started in August.

Plan 3 was announced in October 2022. This was the first time Ontario talked about ending restrictions once and for all starting in January 2022 and ending by April 2022.

For those paying attention the ROA, which was repeatedly extended, was then extended again to March 28th, 2022.
Despite a proof of vaccination requirement in Ontario and restrictions still in place, Ontario locked down AGAIN at the start January 2022.
Plan 3 was abandoned and Ontario introduced Plan 4.
As you can see with Plan 4, there was no intention to end proof of vaccination requirements or masking in Ontario past March 14th, 2022.

So now back to my original point.
For those claiming the protests have had no impact on ending restrictions, we appear to be heading toward a 5th plan or at the very least an amended 4th one with plans to scrap the proof of vaccination requirements.
